| Designation | Grievance Officer |
| Website | schoolsandhi.com |
| grievance@schoolsandhi.com | |
| Acknowledgement | Within 24 hours of receipt |
| Resolution | Within 15 days of receipt |
| Language | English |
Please include your name, contact details, a clear description of the grievance, and the exact URL of the page concerned. A complaint that identifies the page and the specific problem can be dealt with; one that does not, cannot.
If you are not satisfied with the outcome, our Privacy Policy sets out the regulators you can escalate to, including the Data Protection Board of India.
3. Making a data protection request
You can ask us to give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to erase it, or to stop using it for personalised advertising. Your full rights are set out in our Privacy Policy.
What to include
- The right you are exercising — access, correction, erasure, portability, objection, or opt-out.
- The country or state you are in, so we apply the right law.
- Enough information for us to locate your records — the email address you contacted us from, and roughly when you used the Service.
Why we may ask you to confirm who you are
Acting on a deletion or access request from the wrong person would itself be a data breach. We will ask for enough to satisfy ourselves the request is genuinely yours, and no more than that. We will not ask you to send a copy of a government identity document.
If someone is acting for you
An authorised agent must provide written proof of authority, and we may still contact you directly to confirm.
There is no charge, unless a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive — in which case we will tell you the fee before doing any work, rather than after.
4. Reporting content, copyright or abuse
To report content that infringes your rights or is otherwise unlawful, write to legal@schoolsandhi.com. A valid notice must contain:
- Your name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
- Identification of the work or right infringed, and proof you own it or are authorised to act.
- The exact URL of the material complained of.
- A good-faith statement that the use is not authorised by the rights owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement that the information you have given is accurate.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Knowingly making a material misrepresentation in a takedown notice may make you liable for damages. If you are unsure whether you hold the right in question, take advice before sending a notice.
5. Parents, students and staff of a subscribing school
If you want to see, correct or delete a record held in the platform, please contact your school, not us. The school owns those records and decides what happens to them; we hold them on the school's instructions and are not permitted to change or disclose them on anyone else's.
Your school's administrator or data protection contact can act on your request directly inside the system. If you have contacted them and had no response, write to privacy@schoolsandhi.com — we will not act on the record ourselves, but we will identify the institution and pass your request on, and tell you that we have.
If you are a school considering the platform
Write to support@schoolsandhi.com with your institution name, approximate student numbers and what you are trying to fix. We would rather tell you the platform is a poor fit than sell you something that is.
6. Postal address and business details
SchoolSandhi is operated from India. These pages, and any dispute arising from them, are governed by Indian law as set out in our Terms and Conditions.
For service of formal legal notice by post, or for our registered business details and GSTIN, write first to legal@schoolsandhi.com and we will provide the correct address for service by return. This avoids notices going astray at an address that is no longer current.
7. Response times, honestly stated
| Type of request | Acknowledgement | Resolution |
|---|---|---|
| Grievance under the IT Rules, 2021 | Within 24 hours | Within 15 days |
| Data protection rights request | Within 72 hours | Within 30 days, extendable once by 30 days for complex requests |
| Copyright or takedown notice | Within 36 hours | Within 36 hours where the Rules require it |
| General support | Within 2 business days | Depends on the issue; we will keep you updated |
These are the periods we hold ourselves to. If we are going to miss one, we will tell you before it passes rather than after.
