About SchoolSandhi
What SchoolSandhi does, how it works, how we pay for it, and where we stand on your data.
1. What SchoolSandhi is
SchoolSandhi is a school management platform that brings student records, admissions, attendance, timetabling, examinations, fee collection, transport, library, staff and HR administration into one system.
We built it for school administrators, principals, teachers, and the parents and students they serve — people who need the job done now, without installing software, signing up for a trial, or working out which of a dozen plans they need.
2. How it works
The short version:
1. One record per student
Admissions, attendance, marks, fees, transport and health notes attach to a single student record instead of living in four spreadsheets that disagree with each other.
2. Role-based access
A class teacher, a fee clerk, a transport coordinator and a principal each see a different slice of the same system. Access is granted by role, and every access is logged.
3. Built for the Indian school calendar
Terms, sections, house systems, board examination cycles, fee heads with concession and late-fee rules, and transport routes by stop — modelled the way schools here actually run.
4. The school stays in control of its data
Records belong to the institution, not to us. We hold them as a processor on the school’s instructions, and we return or delete them when the subscription ends.
3. Who we build for
Schools, not software buyers. The people who use this every day are a class teacher marking attendance between periods, a fee clerk reconciling a term's collections, a transport coordinator re-routing a bus, and a principal who needs one number rather than four conflicting ones.
That shapes what we prioritise. Speed on the screens used fifty times a day matters more than breadth of features nobody opens. Working offline-tolerant on a patchy connection matters more than animation. And a clear audit trail matters more than either, because a school has to be able to answer a parent's question about who changed a mark and when.
4. Our editorial standards
Alongside the product we publish a blog covering school management software and the work our users actually do. Because that content sits next to advertising, it is worth being explicit about how it is made.
- Editorial independence. Advertisers and advertising networks have no input into what we publish, how we rank anything, or what we recommend. No advertiser has ever been given sight of an article before publication.
- Separation of advertising and editorial. Sponsored placements and recommendation units are supplied by third-party networks and are visually distinct from our own writing. We do not publish paid articles disguised as editorial.
- Corrections. If we get something wrong, we correct the article and say what changed rather than quietly editing it. Tell us at support@schoolsandhi.com.
- Not professional advice. Our articles are general information. They are not legal, financial, medical or other professional advice — see our Terms and Conditions.
5. How we pay for this
Being straightforward about this matters more than it used to, so:
Subscriptions
Institutions pay to use the platform. That is our business, and it is why the platform itself carries no advertising of any kind.
Advertising on the public site
Our marketing pages and blog carry advertising and content recommendations from third-party networks, including Taboola. That advertising is aimed at adult administrators evaluating school software.
No advertising ever appears inside the authenticated platform, and no student, parent or staff data is ever shared with an advertising network. Section 9 of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 prohibits targeted advertising directed at children, and we have architected around that rather than around the edge of it.
6. Where we stand on privacy
Two commitments underpin everything else:
- We are not a storage service. Files you submit are processed and then deleted automatically — normally within minutes, and in every case within 24 hours. We do not keep a library of your work.
- We do not train on your content. Your files are not added to any training corpus, ours or anyone else's.
The full detail — what we collect, who else sees it, how long it lives and what you can require us to do about it — is in our Privacy Policy.
7. Get in touch
We read everything that comes in. Bug reports and feature requests genuinely do change what we build next.
Our contact page has response times and the details we need for each kind of request. SchoolSandhi is operated from India and these pages are governed by Indian law; see our Terms and Conditions.
